Photographing the JET Forecourt Rebrand Across Lincolnshire, Cambridge & Ipswich
Cars line up at the newly rebranded JET garage in Bilsby, Lincolnshire
Rebranding a forecourt is a transformation that goes far beyond new signage. It’s a complete refresh of identity, colour, and customer experience. Over twodays, I photographed five garage forecourts as they unveiled their new JET branding, three sites in Lincolnshire, one in Cambridge, and one in Ipswich.
Each location had already completed its rebrand work, giving me the perfect opportunity to capture the finished look without contractors on site. What remained were the real‑world challenges of photographing busy, fully operational forecourts.
A Multi‑Day Project Across Multiple Counties
With five locations spread across different counties, this project required careful planning to maintain consistency across every site. My goal was to create a unified visual story of the JET rollout, highlighting:
the refreshed colour palette
updated canopy and signage
modernised shopfronts
the overall transformation from previous branding to the new JET identity both inside and out
Even with varied layouts and environments, the final images needed to feel consistent and blend across their previous rebrands.
Real‑World Challenges on Live Forecourts
Although the rebrand work was complete, each site brought its own set of challenges that come with photographing active forecourts.
Weather Variations
Across Lincolnshire, Cambridge, and Ipswich, I experienced everything from bright sunshine to flat overcast skies. Weather can dramatically change the look and feel of a forecourt, so timing and adaptability were key to keeping the visual style consistent.
Constant Traffic Flow
Forecourts never pause. Capturing clean, distraction free images meant working around:
vehicles entering and exiting
customers filling up
staff refilling stock and cleaning areas
general forecourt activity
Patience and timing were essential to get the shots that showcased each site at its best.
Deliveries
Even with contractors gone, the day‑to‑day operations continued and across the five sites, I navigated:
shop stock deliveries
fuel tanker arrivals
staff moving large quantities of stock around the shop floor
These moments can’t be avoided, so I worked between deliveries to capture the forecourt once everything settled.
Consistency Across All Five Locations
Despite the differences between each forecourt, the aim was clear: deliver a consistent, polished set of images that represent the JET brand with clarity and confidence.
This meant:
matching key angles across locations
maintaining consistent colour balance
highlighting the new brand elements
ensuring each site looked clean, clutter free, modern, and ready for customers
The final collection provides JET with a strong visual record of their rebrand rollout, ideal for marketing, internal communications, and future brand development.
Why Professional Photography Matters in a Rebrand
A forecourt rebrand is a significant investment. Professional photography helps:
showcase the transformation
maintain brand consistency across multiple sites
support marketing and PR campaigns
document the finished work clearly and professionally
build trust with customers and stakeholders
Whether it’s a single location or a multi‑site rollout, strong imagery ensures the brand looks its best.
If Your Business Is Rebranding…
I work with companies across the UK to photograph:
forecourt rebrands
retail environments
commercial spaces
shop refits
brand rollouts
If you’re planning a refresh or want to document your transformation, I’d be happy to help you capture it with clean, consistent commercial imagery.
